today after work i needed to get 2 spare house keys made. i went to rocking R hardware store, and the whole key copying process went very fast. the guy said, "these are all ready for you - but, let me know if they don't work for some reason, then come back and see me!" he was so kind.
then as i was walking out, 2 other guys who knew each other were in the same aisle talking, and i could hear them. the first guy said, "hi jim, looks like you're gonna clean your carpets!" then jim says, "oh hi steve! well, i'm not going to clean all the carpets - the dog got ahold of an ink pen and now there is ink in a big spot on the carpet in the den." then the first guy (steve) says, "so is there ink on the dog too?" and jim says, "ya, but i don't care about that. donna has been away this week and i need to clean the carpet before she gets home." then steve said, "well good luck, jim. i hope that stuff gets the job done!"
that store is probably one of my favs in this town. also, the sun was warm - and i drove with my window rolled all the way down on my way home.

I love feel-good conversations like that... and I love posting them on my blog. For me, the best ones seem to happen at Red Front. :)
