big spring, little church
this is what going to church is all about. tucked in the blue ridge mountains of luray va, big spring mennonite church is little and cute - but oh so hearty. it is a church with less than 10 rows of chairs, and the seats are about 1/2 full. no one needs a mic for sharing time because everyone else can hear you from where you're sitting, and new people could never go unnoticed. i have not experienced such a real, worshipful church in a very long time.

for the long weekend in may, i met aunt suze in ohio and then we drove up to canada together. this is my view of the exit where we agreed to meet.
